About me
I currently work for the Florida Department of Education in the Bureau of Student Achievement through Language Acquisition in K-12. I have the privilege of representing Florida in the National Council of State Supervisors for Languages (NCSSFL). I have a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics, with an emphasis in the field of Education. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in diverse educational settings, wearing various hats as a teacher, researcher, and leader. My professional interests encompass Foreign Language Teaching, ESOL, Bilingual Education, and Linguistics.
During the conference, I will be thrilled to talk about a wide range of topics related to education, language acquisition, and linguistics. I look forward to exchanging details and instrumental information regarding the Florida Seal of Biliteracy, implementation of World Language programs, as well as general updates from the Florida Department of Education on educational legislation and initiatives.
